ARCHITECT'S HOUSE

The planned building consists of a simple, high-roofed mass with hidden eaves extending long in the direction of the slope and a covered porch terrace organized around it on two sides. All of this rests on a uniform plinth, "pedestal". The garage is located at the entrance to the plot, its floor level is 1.10m above the floor level of the living area, thus ensuring that the living space is minimized from the ground level. On the E side, the entrance can be reached through the covered-open porch next to the building. A slatted wooden cladding around the garage and under the porch surrounds the building with full-height windows and doors without parapets that match the structure. In addition to the wooden cladding, the building has a simple plastered, white surface.
Entering the hall, we find ourselves in a comfortable space, from which we can immediately see through to the living-kitchen-dining room, which has been expanded with an open deck chair. This space with higher ceilings also includes a gallery, from which sunlight also flows through a skylight into the N-facing room. The living room opens to the N-W with a large corner window towards the view and the terrace.
