KALÓZ STREET FAMILY HOUSE

The design task was to redesign an abandoned, dilapidated residential building located in a beautiful environment (heritage protected area). By demolishing the old, sufni-like building part and transforming the high roof, the usable floor area on the first floor could be significantly increased, providing space for the development of 3 "apartment"-like residential parts. In addition to the reduction of built-up areas above ground level, the expansion below ground level ensures more rational car arrival, while the terrace connected to the basement fitness room completely revalues ​​the atmosphere of the basement room. The challenges of the project, the adaptation to existing structures, and the joint cooperation with the client are a good example of the fact that it is not always necessary to build a new one, and the transformation of the existing one can also be effective, which significantly reduces the environmental impact.
